"It’s nice because it’s like nature. It’s tranquil. It’s not all flat so you’re getting a workout. And I really like the bridge. It feels like you’re going back in time."

Discover the second entrance to the trail at the lot for Aqueduct Park.

Continue on the grassy ballast to reach the old railroad grade where you can see the historic aqueduct arch bridge.

Travel over the aqueduct arch bridge to find the last 0.3 mile of the trail. The trail turns into a grassy ballast surface as you approach the railroad grade.

"I spent an hour or so walking and birding the Old Town Creek Trail and what a wonderful experience it was… We ran into a mixed flock of birds – cedar wax wings, yellow- rumped warblers, robins, hairy & downy wood peckers, Carolina wrens, kinglets and numerous more common species. It was a fun morning."

The trail ends at the active railroad tracks. Plans are under discussion to continue the trail beyond the railroad tracks.
